Walking Back Into The Land Of The Fae

•December 26, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Having trouble in many ways this month.

I can’t seem to make people happy…and in the end, this makes the second Christmas in a row that a friend hurt me, badly!

I won’t go into it, and I refuse to dwell on the whole thing, but my heart hurts because I stood out of the way of chaos…I have no regrets over that!

I lost my job again last month…seems that I wasn’t her type and so I got ousted of a good job!

I don’t care really, it is water under the bridge, and I know that in the end, she will gain her reward for doing what she did to me.

I believe that if I hole myself up and stop trying to do things to please everyone and start walking in my own world of the Fae again, I will be able to come back from this serious depression and the problems that I have at the moment.

I hear the call of the Moonchild in my head telling me it is time to go back to him, and I believe I am ready for this to happen….he never hurts me…he loves The Raven unconditionally and will not allow any others in our world to be harmed!

Don’t get me wrong, I plan to go ahead and live…and do my thing, but it is time to do what I do best and forget the things that were done!!

Blood On The Sword

•November 28, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Standing on the edge of lust
Crying out for fulfillment…
Never again with you.

Impaling my heart
No words could say
When the end comes.

Stomping down on my needs
Using me for the benefit of
A taste of false paradise.

Like a drug we come back
Time and again lost in
That nasty ritual…dead

Sex is a formality
For the game we play
The blood on the sword.

Tell me again when
Has the heartbeat of love
Stopped for us?

Will I ever see the
Heart of love reign
In our lives again?

Or will the stench
Of false lust
Brand us the whore?

Trapped

•November 21, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I cannot stand this game we play,
Circling each other waiting for the
Wounds to begin bleeding.

I hate the way you look at me,
Ready to say the words that
Make me scream in agony.

Trying to find a way out of this mess,
You block the doors
Making it impossible to leave.

I score your flesh and heart
With viscous words, hoping,
Pleading for you to go away!!

In reality, the way you
Make me feel
Really pisses me off.

Tell me how many more games
Must we play before
This hellish eternity is over?

Trapped in this gilded cage together
Shards of glass scattering the floor
The remnants of angry words spoken.

A bloody mass we leave each other,
As we wait for the end….
The last whip lash to fall.

I really wish you would go
Take your twisted thoughts
Of what love should be.

Take that black heart of yours
Throw it into the pits of hell
And let this pain die in peace.

Got A Job/Lost A Job

•November 21, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I am sorry for not being here much…I had found a job at the en do August and worked for ninety days, then they let me go because the manager of that store is basically controlling and ignorant…she wanted things her way and not the company way.

It is ok. I am going forward and filing grievances against her personally along with the area manager on Monday.

Then I am going to go out and find a job. I already applied somewhere close and maybe I will get a job faster than before…although, with the economy and a weird president who doesn’t know how to prioritize…who knows how that will work out.

Thanksgiving is coming this week, and I really am not in the mood to celebrate a holiday…my family can be the bane of my existence these days…moody bunch.

I spend a lot of time on my facebook, and other places…that is the other reason why I haven’t been here to blog.

I am thinking of linking this with one of my other blogs…maybe that is possible.

Well, I am about to ditch one or two blogs in hopes of recreating my web page….I want to use it for writing my poetry and my blogs.

I cannot wait til this holiday season is over….

In the Ichidian Universe, The League and their ruthless assassins rule all. Expertly trained and highly valued, the League Assassins are the backbone of the government. But not even the League is immune to corruption . . .

Command Assassin Nykyrian Quikiades once turned his back on the League—and has been hunted by them ever since. Though many have tried, none can kill him or stop him from completing his current mission: to protect Kiara Zamir, a woman whose father’s political alliance has made her a target.

As her world becomes even deadlier, Kiara must entrust her life to the same kind of beast who once killed her mother and left her for dead. Old enemies and new threaten them both and the only way they can survive is to overcome their suspicions and learn to trust in the very ones who threaten them the most: each other.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As everyone knows, I am a HUGE Sherrilyn Kenyon fan.
When BORN OF NIGHT came out, I had a bit of uncertainty in going away from the Dark Hunters/Were-Hunters/Dream Hunters series…this was a different journey that SK was taking.
Originally, the series was written BEFORE the advent of the Dark Hunters series…
This is the blog post she wrote about Nykyrian and Syn, her heroes in BORN OF NIGHT and BORN OF FIRE (which is out and I will review soon):
http://dark-hunter.com/blog_only.php?id=60
I began to read BORN OF NIGHT, and I was hooked…couldn’t put the book down. Sherrilyn once again takes you on an adventure through a new galaxy full of new friends and fun.
I could see the connection between Nykyrian and Acheron….was Nykyrian the prototype for Ash? Could be, yet completely ethralling for readers.
If you are a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters or her alter ego Kinley MacGregor and enjoy her Knights Of Avalon series or any other series she writes, you will definately love The League. It has SK’s signature writing style all over it!!
Happy Reading!!
Currently Reading J.R. Ward
Forgive me for not being around all month…I have had dental issues and a lot of laziness this month…basically trying to get from one end of this month to the other.
I began reading J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood, and I am completely hooked on this series.
It is a paranormal romance series where vampires are born, not created and the ones who love them.
http://www.jrward.com/
The Brotherhood:
In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there’s a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There also exists a secret band of brothers like no other – six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Among them, none relishes killing their enemies more than Wrath, the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood…
***from J.R. Ward’s web site.
We begin with Wrath…The Blind King:
Dark Lover:
The only purebred vampire left on the planet, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But when one of his most trusted fighters is killed- orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate – Wrath must usher the beautiful female into the world of the undead…Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn’t there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of brotherhood and blood frighten her. But his touch ignites a dawning hunger that threatens to consume them both…
Then we have Rhage:
Lover Eternal:
Within the brotherhood, Rhage is the vampire with the strongest appetites. He’s the best fighter, the quickest to act on his impulses, and the most voracious lover—for inside him burns a ferocious curse cast by the Scribe Virgin. Possessed by this dark side, Rhage fears the times when his inner dragon is unleashed, making him a danger to everyone around him.
Mary Luce, a survivor of many hardships, is unwittingly thrown into the vampire world and reliant on Rhage’s protection. With a life-threatening curse of her own, Mary is not looking for love. Her faith in miracles was lost years ago. But when Rhage’s intense animal attraction turns into something more emotional, he knows that he must make Mary his alone. And while their enemies close in, Mary fights desperately to gain life eternal with the one she loves…
Then on to my personal favorite so far, and the one I am currently finishing:
Zhadist:
Lover Awakened:
A former blood slave, the vampire Zsadist still bears the scars from a past filled with suffering and humiliation. Renowned for his unquenchable fury and sinister deeds, he is a savage feared by humans and vampires alike. Anger is his only companion, and terror is his only passion—until he rescues a beautiful aristocrat from the evil Lessening Society.
Bella is instantly entranced by the seething power Zsadist possesses. But even as their desire for one another begins to overtake them both, Zsadist’s thirst for vengeance against Bella’s tormentors drives him to the brink of madness. Now, Bella must help her lover overcome the wounds of his tortured past, and find a future with her…
This is as far as I have read so far…I am currently finishing Zhadist’s story and planning to start LOVER REVEALED this weekend, which is the story of the only Human among the Brotherhood…Butch O’Neal and his love for a female vampire.
I will give you a review of the the books as I finish the series.
I like J. R. a lot. Her writing style is raw and down to earth…and I love the Brothers. I think that between them and the Dark Hunters, I am in heaven!!
